Gehl RT 175 Skid Steer: The introduction
Decades ago, it takes several years to build buildings, condominium complexes, and other establishments; now thanks to technological advancements, this has drastically changed. Now, they can be finished at half the time–depending–on the available manpower and equipment. Because of this, the number of people who invest in construction firms have drastically grown. If you’re one of those who find inspiration in skyscrapers and dream of starting their own biz, then it’s probably about time to turn that into reality. But first thing’s first, you need to make sure that you’ll invest in the right equipment and since you’re just starting up, chances are, you’ll have access to limited funds. Have no fear because you can turn to an equipment that can perfectly complement your needs, requirements, and (of course) budget. Without further ado, we introduce the Gehl RT 175 Skid Steer.
Gehl RT 175 Skid Steer: Key features
State-of-the-art operator’s cabin
The RT 175 is not just about comfortable seats and ergonomic controls; it actually took cabin quality to a whole new level with its fully adjustable cab is specifically designed to boost productivity and convenience. In addition to the high-tech cab, it also comes with standard high-back adjustable seat, which can be upgraded to air-ride suspension or mechanical suspension; automatic dome light, 12-volt outlet, multiple air vents, and cup holder, to name a few. Putting all these into consideration, it can be said that it is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to cab comfort.
The RT 175 is armed with a YanMar Tier IV naturally-aspirated diesel engine that is known to burn fuel as efficiently as possible and achieve zero emissions at the same time. On top of these, the primary feature of the Tier 4 compliant engine is its electronic control systems that are extensively integrated to the engine, allowing it to achieve greater power. Therefore, you can be sure that you’ll remain productive without harming the environment and shelling out huge sums of cash for maintenance.
Easy to use controls
You can say that in many ways, the RT 175 control system is idiot-friendly and even “rookies” won’t have a hard time operating this skid steer. To add, the instrumentation is strategically located at the upper left and right instrument panels so as to make sure that they can be easily accessed. It also comes with digital color screen that shows fuel consumption, machine hours, warning indicators, and engine RPM, to name a few, in real time.
Safety is a little something that Gehl made sure is properly addressed, which is a good thing because you despite making every precautionary measure available, accidents and other untoward incidents are still bound to happen. You don’t have to worry about a thing because you can be rest assured that your safety and welfare will be taken care of while in the construction field. This is because in addition to the usual ROPS and FOPS capabilities, the RT 175 comes with safety restraints that can greatly reduce the chances of developing serious injuries.
