Kubota recently unveiled their newest mini excavator, the KX080-4a (Alpha). This machine is the improved version of the popular Kubota KX080-4 machine. The KX080-4a is already the cleanest emission excavator in its class. In addition to that, it guarantees unparalleled performance and productivity by integrating the latest technological advancements.
Basically, Kubota equipped the KX080-4a with a direct-injection diesel engine with common rail system. It also has a diesel particulate filter that allows it to optimise digging strength. At the same time, it can reduce fuel consumption, noise, and ultimately, exhaust emissions. More than that, Kubota installed the Eco e-PLUS mode which offers greater work and fuel efficiency.
In essence, the KX080-4a delivers all the benefits that the existing 8-tonne excavator offers. But aside from those, it features a new 2-pump load sensing hydraulic system. When using the front attachments, this system enhances the overall smoothness of operations regardless of the load size. And to further reduce fuel consumption, the machine allows hydraulic oil to flow according to the specific range of the operator’s lever motion. Not to mention that this promotes a greater operating performance.
Furthermore, there is the addition of the 2-Piece Boom version of the standard model that expands the working range. With the KX080-4a, you can easily achieve long reach, as well as close retraction. This allows you to be more efficient and productive in leveling large areas. For maneuverability in tight spaces, turning and lifting operations can be simple with the compact from swivel radius of the 2-piece boom.
Kubota incorporated a lot of other standard features that include an auto idling system, as well as two proportional control auxiliary circuits. In addition, there are the built-in Anti-Theft system, and the safety valve on both the boom and the arm. The KX080-4a also comes with a two-speed auto-shift feature that adjusts the traction force and speed automatically. This would depend on the terrain and load size.
Dave Roberts, Managing Director of Kubota UK, said: “At Kubota, we are constantly striving to improve the performance and efficiency of our machinery as we know this is what end-users rely on to be able to complete their jobs effectively. The introduction of the new KX080-4a excavator not only provides our customers with the strongest performing machine we have to offer, but one that also meets all the latest emissions standards.”
